LOU HARRISON: PACIFIC RIM PIONEER - A special live radio taping with host JOSEPH CELLI
Saturday, November 22nd • 7:30pm

A special live radio taping of Soundprint: Asia, with host Joseph Celli. At the Radio Free Joshua Tree Listening Lounge, Friday, November 21, 2014, 7-9pm. Requested donation of $5 (no one turned away for lack of funds).

This program will feature Lou Harrison's compositions that were influenced by the musical traditions of China, Korea, Indonesia and Japan. Celli will also play a wide range of work from Laos, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Tibet and Mongolia, including the court, folk and religious genres.

Joseph Celli, Harrison House Artist-in-Residence, is the Producer and Host of Soundprint: Asia, broadcast over station WPKN 89.5 from Connecticut. Celli has done extensive work in media including radio appearances throughout Europe, Asia, South America and the United States. He was Executive Producer of the “American Music Now!” radio series that was broadcast in Canada, Holland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and over National Public Radio in the USA. Joseph Celli has also enjoyed a distinguished international career as a musician, composer and intermedia artist.
